Other shops lead you to believe you need thousands of dollars of work done immediately or your car will stop running. Moss Alley is literally right down the street from my new apartment and I've been hoping to find a cool, local shop that would work on my slightly older, slightly uncommon Japanese car. Not only did they offer to work on, but during our initial conversation they were friendly, helpful, and enthusiastic. When I brought my car in for my first appointment the service was prompt, detailed and the price was even *lower* than I was expected ... especially for a shop in the heart of the city! My favorite mechanic in Seattle. I have been going to Moss Alley Motors since I moved here five years ago. Donavan and his team are lovely individuals and are great at explaining what's going on with my car, what needs to be fixed now and what we can wait to do with the time estimate/miles estimate. Every time I go, I know my car is in good hands, and I feel like I'm getting a fair price. Plus they have an adorable dog named Otis.

These folks care about their customers and remember you. I have been going to Moss Alley with my 18 year old car for the last year and I find them to be reasonably priced and give excellent service. My car battery died right before i left town and they were able to squeeze me in to replace it and do an oil change in just a few hours. Plus I like supporting a small women run business.
